This presentation will provide livestock producers with practical guidance on navigating financial tools available during drought, including the Livestock Forage Disaster Program (LFP) and Pasture, Rangeland, and Forage (PRF) insurance. We will walk through how these programs work, eligibility considerations, and how payments or insurance indemnities are triggered during dry conditions. The session will emphasize how producers can use both retrospective assistance and forward-looking risk-management strategies to strengthen the resilience of their operations during drought conditions.
