Implementation: Mar, 2012 – April 2014. MSU is a collaborator with this USAID-funded project which is implemented by IFPRI in collaboration with national research and academic organizations. The Bangladesh Policy Research and Strategy Support Program - PRSSP is a multi-year policy research project. The central objective of the project is to provide the Government of Bangladesh with actionable policy recommendations in order to achieve both short- and long-term objectives of attaining food and nutritional security.
PRSSP aims to generate evidence-based policy options for improving food security and developing the agricultural sector in Bangladesh. PRSSP will facilitate the policymaking process, stimulate policy dialogue, and communicate evidence-based research findings to relevant Government of Bangladesh ministries and other stakeholders. Expected outcomes of PRSSP are:
- Enhanced efficiency of food production and marketing;
- Accelerated income growth of the poor;
- Improved nutrition for vulnerable groups.
