Produce Safety Support for Michigan Growers

MSU Extension Agrifood Safety provides services and resources to help Michigan’s fresh produce growers meet FSMA Produce Safety Rule requirements. We also offer education on Good Agricultural Practices (GAPs) and general produce safety to ensure the food we grow and eat stays safe.

On-Farm Readiness Reviews give you the opportunity to walk through your operation with a small team of produce safety experts and discuss what you can do on your farm to meet the Produce Safety Rule requirements. We also provide Produce Safety Alliance (PSA) Grower Trainings and an Online Produce Safety Supervisor Training for comprehensive produce safety training.

Questions? You can contact Heather Borden at bordenhe@msu.edu, or Alison Work at workalis@msu.edu.
