Course Description
Silviculture deals with the science and the art of managing forests to produce goods and services that meet landowner objectives. The course covers basic biological and ecological principles of silviculture. Theory and practice involved in controlling forest stand establishment, composition, growth and quality, and the formulation of silvicultural prescriptions for multiple objectives.
