Paris, MI – The Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program provides guidelines for beef cattle production and helps build consumer confidence through proper management techniques and a commitment to quality.

Training—available online or in person—covers topics such as animal husbandry, animal welfare, environmental stewardship, and food safety practices.

BQA certification is available in Michigan through the national online training and certification program at www.bqa.org. Online training and certification are free. Producers may also attend one of the in-person trainings taught by the MSU Beef Team and sponsored by the Michigan Cattlemen's Association and the Michigan Beef Industry Commission.
