In partnership with Michigan State University Extension, the Heartland Apicultural Society will host an in-person beekeeping conference on Saturday, May 30 and Sunday, May 31, 2026 on the Michigan State University Campus in East Lansing, MI. The conference will feature presentations by apiculture experts, laboratory workshops, in-hive sessions, beekeeping vendors, and more!

Registration for conference participants, vendors, and sponsors is open. Early registration closes May 3, 2026. Some sessions have limited spots, so register early for the best selection of sessions.

Great Plains Master Beekeeping Field Experience Hours & Testing

All apiary (in-hive) workshops at the Heartland Apicultural Society Conference can be submitted to Great Plains Master Beekeeping (GPMB) for field experience hours. There will also be limited Great Plains Master Beekeeping Field Testing Opportunities. (Apprentice to Journeyman testing requirements: completed the Apprentice level core modules, field experience hours, and volunteer hours. Journeyman to Masters testing requirements: completed the Journeyman level core modules, field experience hours, and volunteer hours.)

Thanks to generous donations to MSU Extension to support Veterans and active-duty military members, U.S. Veterans, Reservists, Active Duty, and National Guard members of the U.S. Armed Forces can receive a discount to attend the conference. Please use discount code "vet50green" if you are registering for both days (for a $50 discount) and "vet25white" if you are registering for a daily registration (for a $25 discount). This discount does not extend to family members.
