Introduction to dotCMS - Basic Training
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Two prerequisite courses must be completed on D2L prior to participating in this Zoom training, including: The Preliminary dotCMS course (approx. 30-35 min) and the Accessibility Compliance Education (ACE) course (approx. 40-45 min). These D2L courses must be completed at least one business day prior to participating in this Zoom training session. Registrants will receive an email for the two required D2L courses after registration is submitted for this training. Upon completion of the two courses in D2L with the required minimum aggregate quiz scores, registrants will then receive a link for the main training session to be held on Zoom.
This training introduces new and/or current dotCMS users to the basics of dotCMS, CANR's website content management system. This training also serves as the prerequisite course that all new dotCMS users must complete before participating in any of the individual Content Type training sessions or the Create/Edit a Page/Page Asset training. Participants will learn the dotCMS interface, navigation, and basics of website content management, including the creation/editing of web pages and various content types. (Approx. 2 hours)
This training topic is offered twice a month via Zoom; one as a morning session, and another as an afternoon session.
