True or Not, so What, #9

Africans are increasing their fresh meat, fruit, and “new” veggies consumption, regardless of income distribution.

True
In sub-Saharan Africa, perishables make up 50 to 70% of the food budget of households. This change happens not only within the urban middle class, but also across all urban and rural areas regardless of income distribution. so What?
The need for infrastructure (roads, transportation, power, cold storage, etc.) to maintain the safety of fresh produce is becoming more important than ever. Wasted produce for lack of cold storage and poor transportation is an issue for farmers and their crop choice. More investments are needed to improve the infrastructure to effectively support this demand.
