Are you a creative and passionate professional with a flair for landscape design and sales? Great Oaks Landscape, a nationally recognized Top 100 Landscape company, is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Landscape Account Executive. With over 40 years of industry leadership, we specialize in crafting custom, high-quality residential, commercial, and institutional landscape designs and installations throughout southeast Michigan. The company provides extensive design build and contract services through its design team, plant nursery, and professional and knowledgeable landscape architects, production, and maintenance management teams.
Responsibilities:
- Client Engagement: Develop and nurture relationships with both residential and commercial clientele, focusing on both design-build and bid work projects.
- Follow-up and Relationship Building: Effectively follow up with clients and leads, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs. Build and maintain strong, lasting client relationships.
- Project Design and Sales: Lead the design and sales process for various projects, including large residential estates, new home construction, subdivision designs, commercial offices, and public and institutional spaces.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with our dedicated team of registered landscape architects, designers and estimators to conceptualize, finalize, and estimate clients' visions. This collaborative approach allows you to focus on sales and building a robust client base.
- Self-Directed Success: Leverage the support of our talented production team to expertly execute the installation of your design vision. This self-directed opportunity in design and contract sales enables you to achieve personal success while becoming a central and key addition of the Great Oaks Landscape team.
Qualifications & Strengths Required:
- Thorough knowledge of plant, hardscape and construction material
- Passion for exceeding client expectations and delivering exceptional service.
- Strong sales background, professionalism, communication, and organizational ability
- Teamwork and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Self-motivated and results-driven attitude.
- Familiarity with industry trends and a keen eye for design aesthetics.
- Ability to manage time and multiple projects effectively.
- Ability to evaluate sales leads.
- Meet and effectively communicate with clients, both during design and installation.
- Directing and/or executing design concepts and plans.
- Bid work - for commercial only.
- Cultivating and growing continuing commercial client relationships.
- Design-build experience and construction practices background are a plus.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Cloud, 3D modeling and bid management platforms.
Education and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or a similar program.
- 5+years’ experience in sales or direct client interaction in a landscape architecture or design build firm.
