NORWOOD HILLS COUNTRY CLUB | ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI

Norwood Hills Country Club is seeking motivated students to join
our Agronomy Team for the summer of 2027.
Founded in 1922, Norwood Hills is a historic 36-hole private club that has hosted
championship golf for more than a century, including the 1948 PGA Championship won
by Ben Hogan.
WHAT YOU'LL EXPERIENCE
● Warm-season zoysia grass management
● Cool-season bent grass management
● Daily course setup and conditioning
● Moisture management and hand watering
● Fertility and plant protectant applications
● Irrigation operation, troubleshooting, and repair
● Mowing and equipment operation
● Renovation, construction, and grow-in practices
● Exposure to golf course architecture and design
● Professional tournament preparation and setup
A UNIQUE TIME TO JOIN
Norwood Hills is investing significantly in its golf courses and working with a golf course
architect on renovation and improvement projects. Interns will see how architectural
ideas move from planning and design through construction, grow-in, and long-term
maintenance.
The club also hosts a PGA TOUR Champions event each fall, providing exposure to the
conditioning, presentation standards, detailed course setup, and teamwork required
for professional competition.
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN
Interns receive hands-on mentorship, build practical agronomic skills, develop industry
relationships, and take on increasing responsibility throughout the summer. The
program is designed to help prepare students for future assistant superintendent and
golf course management roles.
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Ideal candidates are students in turfgrass management, agronomy, horticulture, plant
science, or related programs who are eager to learn and interested in a career in golf
course agronomy. Previous golf course experience is preferred but not required.

$16-$20/HOUR
