Nursery Worker

Employment type: Full-Time

Position:  Nursery Worker
 
Employment Period:  May 1st through Labor Day
 
Hours:  40 hours per week with a rotating schedule covering some weekends.  We are open 6 days per week all season, closed Mondays.
 
Pay:  $20/hour
 
Responsibilities:  Potting, weeding, pruning, direct retail sales with customers, marketing including social media, assistance in design (plant selections), moving of potted plants in nursery (up to 50 lbs.)  watering areas not under irrigation, and general nursery responsibilities.  Work will 100% be outside or in hoop houses
 
Skills:  Knowledge of plant varieties helpful; We are willing to expose candidates to all aspects of owning and operating our nursery;  generally good physical shape, willing to complete assigned tasks without supervision, good cell phone practices.
