Summer Nursery Position

Employment with Rooted by Keits involves work focusing on the general operations of a family owned and operated greenhouse and plant nursery. Rooted by Keits Staff will perform manual labor which may expose them to intense weather, especially heat and humidity, dust, dirt and chemicals. All Staff are required to follow safety policies and procedures as instructed by nursery personnel.

General Laborer Duties and Responsibilities may include:

· Working in every section of the nursery-growing, delivery, sales, production, propagation, greenhouse maintenance, field operations, inventory and more

· Participate in general nursery duties:

o Provide quality Customer Service to all Nursery guests

o Maintain product quality by removing weeds and dead plant material

o Assist with activities in all greenhouses such as weeding, watering, plant and display organization, fertilizing, planting pots and fields etc.

o Assisting with general nursery projects which may include light construction and irrigation installation and repair, assist in maintenance of landscape and gardens

o Assisting in delivery and shipping which may include organizing plants, boxing plants, checking plants for accuracy and quality, paper work, loading and unloading trucks

Retail Team Duties and Responsibilities may include:

· Participate in general nursery duties as listed for General Labor staff

· Greet customers and assist them with plant selection

· Check inventory, price plants, maintain displays

· Answer customer questions about plant types while promoting current sales or promotions

· Ensure the nursery and retail area is neat and organized

· Process sales at the cash wrap area

· Follow all opening and closing policies and procedures

Desired Qualifications:

· A strong willingness to learn and a good work ethic

· Must be at least 16 years of age

· Must be eligible to work in the United States
