Farm Economics
Farm economics includes agricultural input supply, agricultural production, agricultural finance, commodity assembly and processing, and agricultural marketing organizations.
The US Department of Agriculture estimates that many more agribusiness careers are available than there are qualified people to fill them. This shortage is greatest for managers, financial specialists and marketing/sales representatives. Many universities offer agribusiness management degrees to support sustainable development and to support this growing industry need.
Farm Management Educator, Dennis Stein provides a number of web resources and PDFs for farm financial management, farm business planning, tax management, cost of production, budgets, and commodity marketing.
