Certificate Trainings for Individuals: Online Asynchronous
This course represents a collaborative project management system centered on the co-design process using charrettes and includes:
- Project assessment tools for gauging the length and cost of a charrette using a project budget, political considerations and design difficulty,
- Nuts-and-bolts tools needed for managing a multiple-day charrette,
- Introduction to diversity, equity and inclusion and ways to make charrette processes more inclusive, and
- Approaches for dealing with conflict.
This training combines the previous Core and Advanced courses into one with the addition of some new content. Upon completion of the course, you will know how to plan for, host, conduct and facilitate a multi-day charrette.

Course Format
This online training is available at any time and is a self-paced course with about ~10 hours of content, plus independent work such as readings and exercises. It is equivalent to the 3-day NCI in-person training.
The course includes required readings, lecture videos, videos from the live workshops and actual charrettes, exercises, case studies and quizzes.
Course Fee
The course fee is $885. This fee does not include the book for required reading.
How to Register
Registering for an NCI training program can be completed in one of two ways and is tied to your method of payment (either credit card or check).

Continuing Education
This course is approved by the AIA for 20 continuing education hours, the AICP for 20 certification maintenance credits, and the ASLA for 20 professional development hours (PDH). ASLA participant members must achieve a 75% grade in the course to receive the 20 PDH.

Certificate of Completion
All individuals who successfully complete this training and achieve a 70% or higher grade receive a certificate of completion and are included in our online certificate holder database.
