MSU TOLLGATE FARM EQUINE SCIENCE CAMP
This week's adventures were so much fun for everyone involved! From introducing themselves to one another and getting to know their fellow campers, to then introducing themselves to our lovely horses and ponies. Since this week was labeled as Equine Science, a lot of the activities, including horse riding, involved a lot of learning what a horse can and cannot eat, the anatomy of a horse, how to groom the horses before and after riding, as well as fixing snacks that the horses enjoyed thoroughly alongside our campers as they fixed snack for themselves as well. From making stick horses to hosting a Tollgate Farm Stick-Horse Olympics, all the campers had a great time! There were Races, Barrel Races, Jumping and more. By the end of the week, each camper got a picture taken with their favorite horse to take home with them as a memento of all the fun!
