Splish splash! Our campers had a blast!
Watercolor painting
We let our campers creativity shine by painting super cute watercolor paintings. It was a good relaxing time to kick off our morning. When they were done, each pepper group hung theirs up under the pavilion to display for everyone to see. I loved every single one!
Pond Study
There's so many living creatures in Tollgates pond and campers investigated the critters. They collected pond water and used magnifying glasses to look closely at the tiny organisms even the seaweed too.
STEAM: Boat testing
All aboard! Time to set sail in Tollgate's pond with the boats each pepper group made. We tested them to see if they could float, even included a mini stuffed Sesame to see if it would sink with extra weight. Our Stewards/SIT's canoed towing their pepper groups boat. Everyone had a blast testing the boats. Later during the slip n slide, red peppers took it down the slide!
Garden Kitchen: Brownies
OMG the Activity Center smelled like a bakery this morning as the campers made super yummy black bean brownies. Yes you heard that right, black beans were in these and everyone LOVED them. This is yet another popular recipe
Slip n Slide
The most anticipated time every camper was waiting for. I think Stewards/SIT's had more fun than the campers did! Campers kept going on the slip n slide for over an hour and had a blast! I loved watching the kids and Stewards even councilors have so much fun! More photos are in Google Photos.
Skits
Everyone still had enough energy to do skits and even though they were very last minute, everyone had so much fun creating a cute skit.
