Current Position: Director of Environmental Accreditation Programs, American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Previous Education: B.A., Political Science, University of Florida and MEM, Duke DEL Program
What skills and knowledge are you looking to strengthen by participating in the Graduate Certificate?
Knowledge of field methods undertaken on sequestration projects (growth modeling, remote sensing, etc.), knowledge of return on investment calculations and how to perform this, knowledge and skills on obstacles for project implementation, factors to consider on project additionality, supply chain management/complexities, and how to incorporate other sustainability aspects into forest monitoring.
How do you see completing the Graduate Certificate as fitting in with your career and/or career goals?
I am currently looking into incorporating other sustainability topics into our programs at ANSI, so I'm hoping that the work and research that I perform will be useful for both. Also, I'd like to learn more about the complexities involved with corporate reporting especially supply chains.
How do you see the Graduate Certificate in Science, Policy, and Management building your marketability as a professional?
I hope that the Certificate as well as the Weyerhaeuser Fellowship will strengthen my technical and scientific skills while also providing some exposure and opportunities to explore private sector approaches.
