Dr. Christy Sprague was named “Educator of the Year” by the Mid America CropLife Association (MACA). The Educator of the Year award was first presented in 1978. It is designed to recognize demonstrated evidence of significant contributions to American agriculture, especially in the MACA region. Published works, documented public appearances, region-wide recognition, and evidence of consistency in educating the public on the values of production agriculture are key points for consideration in selecting the recipient. Christy was presented the Award on September 3 at the MACA Annual Meeting in Minneapolis, MN. MACA is a non-profit association composed of basic manufacturers, distributors/formulators, seed companies and allied industry such as consultants, warehouses and technology companies that provide product and services for the crop protection industry in the Midwest. The Midwest region includes Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
