Michigan State University Extension has developed a poster that showcases photos of common apple pests and diseases alongside descriptions in both Spanish and English. Pests and diseases featured in this poster include codling moth, oriental fruit moth, obliquebanded leafroller, brown marmorated stink bug, plum curculio, apple maggot, woolly apple aphid, apple scab, powdery mildew and fire blight.

This poster serves as a quick ID guide for common apple pests and diseases as well as the damage they cause that you may see while working in an orchard. The timing for each species is approximate and represents historical averages for Sparta, Michigan, maintained by Michigan State University (MSU) Enviroweather.
The creation of this resource was led by Lindsay Brown and Erin Lauwers, integrated pest management educators with MSU Extension, and Jackie Perkins, tree fruit integrator for the MSU Department of Entomology. Additional contributions and editorial reviews were provided by Carlos Garcia-Salazar, George Sundin and Julianna Wilson of MSU. Much of the information provided in this resource was informed by the "Apple Pest Guide," which was revised in 2018 by Wilson. Translation services were provided by Anamaría Gómez-Rodas of MSU Extension.
