Free pollination forum will showcase issues facing pollinators and solutions
On Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, MSU will host A Pollination Forum to present the latest information on issues facing bees and the solutions being developed to support crop pollination.
On Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, from 6-8 p.m. at the Kellogg Center in East Lansing, MSU will host A Pollination Forum to present the latest information on issues facing bees and the solutions being developed to support crop pollination.
The event will feature Maria Spivak as the keynote speaker, who will present on “The Glorious Pollinator Revolution.” Integrated Crop Pollination (ICP) project highlights will follow Spivak’s talk.
“We are inviting the local community to this event, where leading U.S. researchers will showcase their research on the plight of bees and efforts to ensure long-term sustainability of crop pollination,” said Rufus Isaacs, MSU entomologist and ICP leader. “U.S. fruit, vegetable and nut crops are pollinated by bees and this event will highlight what MSU and its research partners are doing to ensure the long-term sustainability of their pollination.”
