He is able to communicate abstract subjects, like modeling, in a concrete way and incorporates projects based on solving real-world food processing problems in his lessons plans.
Dolan has a demonstrated ability to assess and rapidly respond to student needs. His accessible teaching and communication styles result in inclusive classrooms where students feel welcome and supported.
Current and former students frequently speak of the life-changing impact of Dolan's mentorship and how they continue to use what they learned in his courses in their own research or careers in the food processing industry, noting he is an innovative instructor who represents the best of MSU’s faculty.
