Jude Barry promoted to Associate Director
As Associate Director, Dr. Barry will continue to oversee day to day operations at CRFS and her programmatic work in workforce development. Additionally, she will oversee program support and have an expanded role in fund development efforts.
MSU Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS) Assistant Director and Senior Academic Specialist Jude Barry has been promoted to Associate Director effective December 1, 2020.
Jude joined CRFS in 2012 as part of the Michigan Good Food Charter team. Her work at CRFS has also included meat and livestock work, the Michigan Good Food Fund and, most recently, assessing food system workforce needs and strategies for workforce development. Dr. Barry became Assistant Director in 2017.
As Associate Director, Dr. Barry will continue to oversee day to day operations at CRFS and her programmatic work in workforce development. Additionally, she will oversee program support and have an expanded role in fund development efforts. Dr. Barry has worked in agricultural business development, marketing, education and outreach roles in industry and academia in Michigan, England, and across New York state. Jude earned her BSc in Animal Science from Edinburgh University, UK and her PhD in Applied Biochemistry from The University of Nottingham, UK.
