Looking for more information on growing Christmas trees (Photo 1)? Join the Michigan State University Extension Christmas tree team for the Michigan Christmas Tree Association’s summer meeting on July 23–24 at Timberly Tree Farm, 66181 N Lakeview Rd, Sturgis, MI 49091. Pre-registration is now open, and same day registration will also be available.

Educational topics will vary greatly, but selected topics will include pest management (Photo 2), business marketing, research updates (Photo 3), demonstrations and panel discussions. Educational sessions will include both indoor and outdoor tracks, with an option for auxiliary presentations as well. For more meeting information, see a detailed agenda.

This meeting is an excellent opportunity to network with fellow tree growers and vendors and talk with Christmas tree research experts from across the United States. Membership in the Michigan Christmas tree association is not required to attend. Three restricted use pesticide credits will be available each day of the meeting.
