New MSU Extension specialist to address apiculture and pollination
Walter Pett has been appointed to expand MSU Extension’s delivery of information about bees and pollination.
The Michigan State University Department of Entomology is pleased to announce the appointment of Walter Pett as apiculture and pollination Extension specialist, effective March 2014. Pett is a graduate of MSU with an M.S. in Horticulture and a Ph.D. in Entomology focusing on honeybee foraging behavior. He has 20 years of experience as a research associate and fixed-term assistant professor in the MSU vegetable entomology program. Since 2008, he has taught undergraduate courses, including the popular course in Apiculture and Pollination, and he will continue to combine undergraduate teaching with his apiculture Extension program.
