Reifor receives 2025 Spirit of CANR Award

Amy Reifor, of the MSU Extension Director’s Office, will receive the 2025 Spirit of CANR Award on May 8.

The Spirit of CANR award recognizes a support staff member who is committed to representing CANR and MSU by embodying the CANR mission through one or more of its values. Recipients excel within their department to create an engaging atmosphere and promote scholarship, service, and outreach.

Amy Reifor started with MSU Extension in 2017 as a fiscal officer for the Director’s Office but has been at MSU since 2006. She exemplifies the mission and values of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and MSU Extension through her work as a relationship builder and connector, her responsible management of fiscal resources and her dedication to fostering a positive work environment through service to others.

One nominator praised Amy's leadership and teamwork: "Amy is a committed and engaging team member. Her leadership skills shine when among a group of her peers, solving a problem or creating a plan of action. She is positive, actively listens and encourages the contributions of other staff."

Another nominator highlighted Amy's role as a model for new employees: "Amy Refior is the type of role model all new employees to the CANR need. Her dedication and positive attitude are contagious and inspiring to those around her."
