School of Packaging researcher awared NIH MICHR K12
Congratulations to Mercy Okezue, assistant professor at the School of Packaging, on receiving the MICHR K12 Award. This award is a
mentored career development program that will provide protected research time, mentorship, and career development. Okezue will investigate the formulation of poor water-soluble medications as solid lipid nanoparticles (SLNs) to enhance their oral absorption. She will also evaluate the packaging systems to maintain the stability of the SLNs medications.
