STEAM Expo Weekend to feature plant research at MSU

Consider joining us to present the best of MSU plant science! Reach our with your ideas TODAY

TODAY IS THE DAY to submit your proposal to be a presenter at the STEAM Expo Weekend, taking place on April 5-6, 2025, as part of the MSU Science Festival.
So far, 11 presenters/groups have reached out to be included in the plant-related booth area, and it's shaping up to be an exciting event! To summarize the initiative, all plant-related booths will be grouped together to create an immersive experience that showcases plant research at MSU. To make this even more engaging, I’d like to design an activity that encourages attendees to visit all the plant-related booths. If you’d like to be part of this, please:
  • Include the sentence “This proposal is part of the plant science community” in your submission.
  • Let me know once you’ve submitted your proposal or if you plan to submit one.
If you’ve already submitted your proposal without including the sentence, no worries—you can still join this initiative! I also maintain a list of presenters, and I’ve been in communication with the SciFest organizers. We’ll compare our lists to make sure no one is left out.
I look forward to hearing from you all!
Best,
Gaëlle

As part of the MSU Science Festival coming April 2025, visitors of all ages will have the opportunity to explore and experience the wonders of STEAM, connect with experts, and ignite their curiosity. You can learn more about this event online.

If you are interested in presenting your research as part of this event,  applications are now open, with proposals due by December 2.

This year, we are hoping to incorporate all of the plant-themed presentations to create an immersive experience highlighting the plant research being conducted at MSU. We want to locate all plant booths in the same room to create a fun overreaching activity to highlight plant science at MSU and increase attendance at all the booths.

If you have submitted a proposal or plan to, please let me know,  so you will be included in this event.

NOTE: IN YOUR APPLICATION please include the sentence, “This proposal is part of the plant science community.”

Thank you! Sincerely,
