EmailThe Michigan Ag Credit Conference is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Molecular Plant Sciences Building on Michigan State University’s campus in East Lansing.
Michigan agriculture has challenges unique to its industry that are driven by labor, policy and various trends. The Michigan Agricultural Credit Conference is where leading industry experts and agricultural credit lenders engage in critical discussions on these trends to best serve customers and producers.
Building upon the successes of previous conferences, this year’s Michigan Ag Credit Conference experts will share their insights on the pressing issues and provide an economic outlook for Michigan’s agricultural economy.
The Michigan Ag Credit Conference is scheduled for Oct. 24 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Molecular Plant Sciences Building on Michigan State University’s campus in East Lansing.
Designed to connect agricultural lenders, agribusinesses, policymakers, faculty experts, and industry stakeholders, individuals come to the Michigan Agricultural Credit Conference for one reason: to make their customers and farmers in rural Michigan successful. 
“The Michigan Agricultural Credit Conference brings together those in the agricultural lending and credit industries to discuss economic conditions that are impacting their clients,” said Melissa McKendree, assistant professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics at MSU.
“This year we are excited to have Dr. Brian Briggeman from Kansas State University as our keynote speaker. We will also hear updates on the Farm Bill and have breakout sessions– a new addition to the conference this year – on farm labor and farm wellbeing. We’re looking forward to engaging discussions and also time networking with so many individuals in ag banking and credit services industries.
Experts from every part of Michigan's ag economy will come together to explore the challenges and opportunities in the following areas:

- Livestock Outlook with Matt Herrington from World Perspectives, Inc.
- Specialty Crops Outlook with Molly Sears from MSU
- Dairy Outlook with Sarina Sharp from Daily Dairy Report
- Agricultural Outlook Panel Discussion
