EmailUsers have had questions about their smart phones becoming unregistered frequently from the MSU Wireless 3.0 network
Several faculty and staff have had questions about their phones becoming unregistered frequently from the MSUnet 3.0 wireless network, which is the wireless network that staff and faculty should be using, not MSUnet Guest 3.0. The issues are likely due to a network address randomization feature in modern mobile devices.
Apple implemented this measure to protect the privacy of iPhone users and randomization is available also on Android devices. If your phone or Apple watch becomes unregistered from the MSUnet 3.0 wireless network, you should follow these directions: Disable Random Mac Address.
