Andrea Ramos Bonilla is a Peruvian Ph.D. student in the Department of Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics at Michigan State University. Her research focuses on agrifood supply chain resilience and the dynamics of local and regional food systems in the context of multiple external shocks. She is currently involved in the USDA–NIFA–supported project Building Resilience to Shocks and Disruptions: Creating Sustainable and Equitable Local and Regional Food Systems in the U.S. Midwest and Beyond.

Andrea holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. She has prior experience in applied economic analysis and policy evaluation through her work at the Group for the Analysis of Development (GRADE) and as a consultant for public sector institutions and the Inter-American Development Bank.
