Derek Plotkowski, Ph.D. is the Michigan State University Extension Fruit Educator for Southeast Michigan and is based out of the MSU Tollgate Farm and Education Center in Novi, Michigan. He covers production of all fruit, farm markets and farmers markets with a primary focus on commercial producers for multiple counties in Southeast Michigan. His past work involved the horticultural aspects of beverage production, with a special focus on hard cider.
