Irene Blanco is a graduate student at Dr. Alejandro Rojas' Lab - Microbe-Plant Interaction and Ecology (MPIE) in Michigan State University. Her work focuses on taxonomic diversity and genome complexity of the Fusarium solani species complex causing root rot in dry beans. Aspiring plant pathologist with knowledge in mycology, molecular biology, and bioinformatics. Committed to sustainable agriculture through fungal biodiversity and ecology research.
