Jessica Woiderski is the Michigan State University Extension 4-H program coordinator in Cheboygan County. She has worked in this capacity since May 2022. In this role, Jessica provides leadership and management of local 4-H programs, volunteers, and youth participants in Cheboygan County. She promotes and strengthens the Cheboygan County 4-H program by developing programs and partnerships, promoting and evaluating 4-H programs, and recruiting and training volunteers. Jessica is also the liaison from the state Michigan 4-H office and helps to ensure that statewide opportunities and information are available to local participants. Jessica has been certified to help with youth mental health first aid.

Jessica grew up in Midland 4-H but moved around a lot before settling back down in Michigan.  Prior to joining MSU Extension, Jessica worked with farmers in Africa, Central America, and South America.  She was an apprentice on an organic diversified farm in Maine.  She worked with refugee farmers, ran a food hub, and taught farming and marketing in both Arizona and Maine.  From the desert to the rainforest, Jessica has worked on building food communities where farmers feel supported.  Jessica has a bachelor’s degree in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic.
