Kristy Oosterhouse
Kristy is a Michigan State University Extension 4-H supervising and staff development educator. Kristy’s primary office is in Antrim County.
In this role, Kristy serves as a supervisor for 4-H staff in District 3, which includes Antrim, Benzie, Grand Traverse, Kalkaska, Leelanau and Manistee counties.
In addition, Kristy focuses on volunteer selection and utilization in her statewide role with the volunteer excellence and support team. She coordinates training opportunities and resources for 4-H staff on volunteer management.
Kristy can also help provide information about the following topic areas:

- LEGO Mindstorms NXT and EV3 Robotics
- Science and engineering programming
Kristy has a long history with MSU Extension. Before starting her current role in March of 2023, Kristy served in many capacities including two AmeriCorps terms supporting 4-H mentoring programs, as 4-H program coordinator for the TechXcite engineering curriculum grant, and most recently as the 4-H program coordinator in Eaton County, a role she held for eight years.
Kristy has a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science, Bachelor of Arts in Spanish, and Master of Arts in Youth Development, all from Michigan State University.
