What I do
Collect soil samples across the lower and upper peninsula of Michigan (under all kinds of conditions) analyzing them for various soil nutrient and carbon sequestration values. Field management histories together with these values help to “map out” carbon stores across the state of Michigan. These values will be added to other maps being generated globally.
Communicate with a wide range of people from all walks of life embracing their approach to farming past, present and future, building relationships for future research.
