Paul Putnam is the District 1 Director, covering the central and western counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Putnam started his career with MSU Extension in 2014. Prior to that, he spent six years as community, natural resources and economic development educator with University of Wisconsin Extension. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University, and a Master’s degree from University of South Carolina
