Wenbin Wu is a full professor of agricultural land use at the Institute of Agricultural Resources & Regional Planning, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He specializes in spatial analysis and simulation of agricultural land use changes by integrating remote sensing, GIS, and statistical methodologies. He has made great contributions to land system science and seeks to improve: observing and monitoring of agricultural land system changes underway throughout the world; understanding of these changes as a coupled human–environment system; and spatially explicit modeling of agricultural land use changes and its consequences.
