2021 National Farm to ECE Survey

The National Farm to School Network (NFSN), in partnership with Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS), conducted the 2021 version of the National Farm to Early Care and Education (ECE) Survey. In total, we heard from 2,914 survey respondents across 26 targeted states about current farm to ECE initiatives and their reach; motivations, challenges, and supports needed to sustain and expand participation; and the effect, if any, of COVID-19 on farm to ECE and local purchasing practices.

To lift up and celebrate these results and build awareness of farm to ECE, NFSN and MSU CRFS have developed an infographic and fact sheet that partners and supporters can use to start the conversation in their networks.
