Webinar - Building Trust and Fostering Sustainable Collaboration Across Higher Education Institutions: Examples from Michigan and Texas
July 21, 2021 - Rich Pirog , Kolia Souza , Jacqueline White, Jayna Dave, Carolyn Williams, Emily Proctor, and Steve Yanni
The Center for Regional Food Systems – as part of its continuing work at the intersection of food systems and racial equity and pluralism - is interested in lifting examples of collaborations across land-grant institutions and between land-grants and public/private higher education institutions that are pluralistic in nature and built on trust and shared values.
This webinar features examples from Michigan and Texas. The Texas example is a collaboration between Prairie View A&M University's Cooperative Extension Program (an 1890 land-grant institution) and Baylor College of Medicine (a private institution). The Michigan example is a collaboration across Michigan State University Extension and three 1994 land-grant Tribal Colleges - Bay Mills, Saginaw Chippewa, and Keweenaw Bay.
This webinar was sponsored by the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems in association with the Racial Equity in the Food System Workgroup. It aired on July 19, 2021.
Funding for the Racial Equity in the System Workgroup is provided in part by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
