Description

An invasive species is one that is not native to its current environment and causes damage to the overall ecosystem. Invasive species are introduced many different ways both purposely and accidentally, with unintentional consequences. The damage caused by invasives is commonly a result of overuse of resources by the invasive species. Management of invasive species is critical to the health of an ecosystem.
