What you Need to Know: Telling a Compelling Story Webinar

December 6, 2024 <rahrigj1@msu.edu>, <jesmerju@msu.edu>

Sharing your business story to funders in a compelling way can help farmers and food business owners access grant funding. In this webinar recording from October 24, 2024, Jane Cajuste, Chicago Food Policy Action Council and Madelina DiLisi, Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems, shared their tips and experiences. They joined Julie Jesmer and Jamie Rahrig of the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems and the Great Lakes Midwest Regional Food Business Center who shared more about the upcoming Business Builder grant opportunities.

Grant funding, provided by the USDA, will soon be available across the Great Lakes Midwest. This includes the first phase of the Business Builder grant program for farmers, indigenous producers, and other food businesses in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Wisconsin. Over $10 million dollars will be distributed to technical assistance providers and eligible business owners over the next four years.

For those who missed the live event, a recording of the webinar is now available here:
