Description
The Irrigation Association scholarship program was established to develop and administer an awards program to promote the study and careers in the irrigation field.The scholarship program will
- provide meaningful financial support for the education of worthy scholarship candidates.
- benefit the business community through better-educated people.
- expose scholarship candidates to the ever-expanding irrigation industry.
- strengthen the IA through a direct link to the education community.
The Irrigation Association scholarships will be awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000 to $3,000 based on a student's letter of intent, financial need, reference letters, resume and list of irrigation courses.
Scholarship applications are due by April 17, 2026, with notification to award winners by May 1, 2026

Requirements
Scholarship applicants must- be currently enrolled (undergraduate or graduate) at a U.S. technical or vocational school, community college, university or similar institution of higher learning.
- have a graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- be a U.S. citizen.
- not have not been selected in prior years as a scholarship recipient.
- have taken or be currently enrolled in a class with an irrigation-related curriculum.
- have a minimum of 2.5 cumulative grade point average, based on a 4.0 scale.
- demonstrate financial need.
- Create a SmarterSelect account.
- Complete the entire form (can save form and finish later).
- Upload your resume and submit list of irrigation-related courses taken. (Required)
- Submit name, email, title, and organization for two references: one from academic instructors and one from a non-instructor source.* (Required)
- Submit completed application by April 17, 2026.
