C.E. “Tuck” and Becky Tate Turfgrass Scholarship
Tuck and Becky Tate spent the latter part of their lives owning and running the Frankfort Golf Club in Frankfort, Michigan. Tuck was instrumental in starting the Northern Michigan Turf Managers association in 1980. When they sold their Golf Club in 1984, they donated $100,000 to MSU to endow their Scholarship, that began in 1986. To date the total scholarship money total well over $400,000.
