Dr. Zachary Huang presented on beekeeping in China in PennState Extension's Beekeeping Around the World webinar series.
China has a long history of beekeeping. They have developed a line of bees that produce large quantities of royal jelly, which is harvested for use in medicine and cosmetics. In China, there are also beekeepers that keep the Asian Hive Bee, Apis cerana.
