Imagine bringing your curriculum to life utilizing the resources of the 4-H Children's Gardens! A field trip is a great way to encourage curiosity and wonder about plants and the amazing world in which we live.
We would love to work with you to design a field trip(s) that will meet your students needs.
We encourage you to plan day-long field trips so we can really "dig into" the topics, foster curiosity and wonder and create learning experiences your students will remember all year!

Field Trips to the 4-H Children's Gardens
All of our field trips are designed in consultation with the teacher to make sure they fit your particular learning needs and goals.
Field trips can be as short at 1 to 2 hours or last all day.
Your field trip learning activities will be led by the garden Curator, Education Coordinator and our amazing Docents.
Generally our field trips are $2 per child, but there are special rates for our Seeds of Science Program and some others. Be sure to ask when you schedule your trip.
A Typical Day-long Field Trip
Your day might look something like this:
- Welcome and overview
- Garden tour and scavenger hunt
- Exploring Science Process
- Lunch
- Plant Parts
- Important Plants
IN ADDITION to the central content, there are opportunities to incorporate stories, songs, and technology pieces into your field trip. Just ask, and we can probably make it happen!
