Participants are responsible for their own lodging and transportation.  Below are some information on transportation and suggestions on where to stay.

Travel:

Airports

  • The Capital Regional International Airport (LAN)

Located in Lansing, MI, it is the closest airport to the MSU campus. This airport is served by Delta (with nonstop service to Detroit (DTW) and Minneapolis (MSP)), American Airlines (with nonstop service to Chicago (ORD) and Washington DC (DCA)), and United Airlines (with nonstop service to Chicago (ORD).   • Detroit Metro Airport (DTW)

The nearest major International Airport is in Detroit, Michigan, offering nonstop flights to various destinations in Europe and Asia. It is located approximately 85 miles from the MSU campus. For more information: https://www.metroairport.com/

Ground Transportation

Hotels:

Thanks to a generous grant from the USDA-NIFA-AFRI (markets and trade), we are pleased to offer each participant complimentary accommodation for 5 nights, from Sunday, May 19 to Friday, May 24, 2024. Food Options

The following meals are included during the workshop:

  • Light breakfast all days
  • 2 coffee breaks each day including beverages and snacks.
  • Lunch each day
  • Social dinner on Thursday

VISA

International participants are responsible for securing travel visas to the USA. An invitation letter will be provided before the payment of the tuition fee has been received. It is the participant's responsibility to contact the USA embassy or consulate in their country.

Insurance: Evidence of health insurance is required for participants, at their own cost.
