The event draws about 1,000 participants aged 12 to 19 from across Michigan who can choose from a multitude of hands-on learning sessions, field trips, and recreation opportunities. During 4-H Exploration Days you’ll have a chance to develop valuable skills, make new friends, get involved in lots of fun activities, and much more. You can choose from more than 100 action-packed sessions on topics that interest you! We hope you can come!
Fees
The registration fee for young people and adults to participate in 4-H Exploration Days covers meals from Wednesday lunch to Friday lunch, two nights of lodging, all event activities, and a T-shirt.
- $250 for youth participants.
- $150 for adult participants—Adults attend to support this event as instructors and chaperones and will be assigned a variety of volunteer tasks.
- $45 Tuesday Early Arrival Fee—This fee covers Tuesday lodging and Wednesday breakfast for long-distance participants (primarily from the Upper Peninsula).

The sky’s the limit when you’re considering which sessions to take!
Registration will open at 7 p.m. on March 12, 2026, and will close at 5 p.m. on April 17, 2026.
Sessions fill up quickly, so register early! It’s also a good idea to have some backup sessions in mind. You can use the planning grid that follows to make your session plan!
