Inclusive Practices in Planning and Delivering an Educational Program
Teachers are in a unique position to support change and help interrupt cycles of oppression in the small decisions they make when preparing and delivering educational programming. Reflect on how instructors, trainers and educators can apply concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion in the development and facilitation of educational programs. Using discussion, dialogue, and videos developed with MSU’s Transforming Theatre Ensemble, this session will equip you with practical DEI strategies for developing and delivering more inclusive educational programming.
There is ~20 minutes of required prework before this session. It will be sent to all participants 1 week in advance; if you register within 1 week of the training, please email Anne Baker to receive the materials.
Intended Audience: Anyone who teaches or facilitates.
Core Competencies: Educational Delivery and Technology Adoption; Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion
Led by: Anne Baker, Learning & Talent Development Specialist
