Educational Technology

Michigan State University Extension has a long history of offering quality, science-based education to Michigan communities. As technology resources are becoming more readily available to target audiences, considerable focus is shifting towards distance learning methodologies. The Instructional Technology area within MSU Extension is focused on the following areas:

  • Increase the reach of MSU Extension programs through distance technologies such as online, blended, video-conferencing, on-demand and technology-enhanced face-to-face programs.
  • Empower MSUE educators, faculty and staff to develop technology-enhanced programs through training, best practices, online tools and consultation.
  • Develop methodologies for collecting data and analytics regarding technology enhanced learning opportunities in order to measure impact on target audiences.
  • Identify potential applications for new and emerging instructional technologies.

If you are looking to integrate technology into your programming, need technology related professional development (training, workshops, presentations) for you or your work team, or educational technology consulting contact Gwyn Shelle.
