Cost and Financial Aid

To explore tuition costs, see Student Accounts. Click on the button titled “Tuition, Fee, Tax And Housing Rates” for the current academic year. Select “Graduate” then scroll down to “ONLINE PROGRAMS SPECIAL PROGRAM FEES (per credit-hour basis)” to get the cost per credit hour. The Graduate Certificate consists of nine total credits, made up by three, three-credit courses. Costs are applied each semester based on the number of credits taken.
 
Beyond the application fee and tuition expenses, there are no additional costs associated with the Graduate Certificate. Please contact 
forestc@msu.edu to learn about securing financial support, the Department Scholarship, or the Weyerhaeuser Fellowship.  

 

Department of Forestry Scholarship 

The MSU Department of Forestry is pleased to announce the availability of four (4) scholarships for participants of the Graduate Certificate in Forest Carbon Science, Policy, and Management. Applications for the Forestry Department Scholarships are open to all applicants to the Graduate Certificate. All application materials must be submitted to the Forest Carbon and Climate Program at forestc@msu.edu. How to Apply.  

Weyerhaeuser Fellowship

The MSU Forest Carbon and Climate Program (FCCP) is pleased to announce the availability of two (2) Weyerhaeuser Fellowships. Funding is provided by the Weyerhaeuser Giving Fund. Applications for the Weyerhaeuser Fellowship are accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis.
